In 2021, the United Kingdom’s Age Appropriate Design Code (“UK AADC”) introduced new rules for the processing of children’s data by online services “likely to be accessed” by children. The UK AADC inspired California to enact similar rules, and many other states across the U.S. are now considering similar proposals. Please join us to discuss similarities and divergences between the UK AADC and California AADC, and how companies can leverage efforts they have already made to navigate an evolving landscape of children’s privacy rules.
