About Ben Wiseman
Ben Wiseman is the Associate Director of the FTC’s Division of Privacy and Identity Protection (DPIP), where he oversees a team of more than 40 lawyers responsible for the enforcement of the nation’s privacy and security laws, as well as related work in emerging areas such as AR/VR, artificial intelligence, AdTech, biometrics, health privacy, and children’s privacy. Before joining DPIP, Ben was a Deputy Director in the FTC’s Bureau of Consumer Protection. Before joining the FTC in 2022, Ben served as Director of the Office of Consumer Protection in the Office of the Attorney General for the District of Columbia. Previously, he served as a law clerk at the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and the U.S. Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, and he was an associate at a law firm in Washington, D.C.
