From the clinic to exit, this session will explore common and hot data protection issues for life sciences and pharmaceutical companies both domestically and internationally. We will discuss, among other things, drafting and operationalizing privacy notices (including in an effort to address future data use/sharing cases), contracting with vendors (e.g., contract research organizations, labs) and trial sites, and cybersecurity strategies. In the context of conducting clinical trials or otherwise processing clinical trial data, attendees will take away practical strategies to (i) manage data protection risks and (ii) leverage data.
